Sanjay Behl, the new CEO of Big TV

Sanjay Behl Big TV CEO Big TV has appointed Sanjay Behl as its new CEO to look after the company's DTH and IPTV operations.

Behl currently serves as Reliance Communications Group Head, Brand and Marketing Operations. He will continue to oversee the current responsibilities as well.

Behl's appointment comes at a time when Reliance is looking at doubling its subscriber base within the next one year to three million.

According to the company, "It is also planning to double its channel bouquet from the current 200 to 400 channels and with Sanjay in the lead role, BIG TV will soon reach greater heights in terms of content and competition."

Prior to joining Reliance Communications in August 2005, Behl was Head of Marketing for Nokia's India operations. In November last year, Big TV's former CEO Arun Kapoor stepped down from his position and Mahesh Prasad was the acting president of Reliance Big TV for a short while.

Worst Customer Service provided by BigTV DTH.
The SLA told by company is 24 hrs, however only they resolve the problem by 2-3 weeks that to by repeadetly calling customer care.

Customer is on the mercy of BigTV .
Recommendation : Never to buy BigTv DTH

Dear Mr. Ambani,

This is the second time as a customer of Reliance ADA group products and services, I have been forced to write to you.

I had purchased reliance big tv against the advice of my wife who told me that the group is not customer focussed and we will have lots of issues.

I still went ahead. the distributor's manager nitin khsirsagar promised me that would get 50% discount on the second tv. he confirmed this after coming to my residence and inspecting both the tv's. after months and months of following up with him and countless calls to the call centre , i finally informed nitin i would be writing an email to u since he had lied and had not fulfilled his promise. he then told me he had sorted everything out i would get the discount, that was 3 months back. i have still not got the discount though it was promised to me i would get it from the day we started the service. on two occasions the call centre confirmed that we would get 50% discount and then after some time was told they would not be able to. while the call centre operators are clearly incompetent, the distributor can be accused of wilfully misleading and cheating.

I might also add i had a conference call organized by the distributor with company employees on 3 different occasions where i was assured i would get 50% discount but it could not be given any writing. though i did not understand why i foolishly still went ahead.

I must also add that with all the products and services i have purchased and dealt with , i have never come across a more ill trained , incompetent set of call centre operatorss including their bosses. besides none of them can understand english and i have spoken to a dozen of them.
i wanted to get et now channel and in my five phone calls i was told once that they were not offering it when it was, that it was not part of my scheme when it was, that it would start in the next 2 hours and twice i was informed that the channel has now been with drawn. till today the et now channel is visible on the screen. this is simply one example of the incompetence of the call centre ( there are dozens more)but the bigger issue is that of the false promise given by your distributor.
i even lodged a complaint against the distributor with your call centre, they once told me they would take action and after that i was told too bad you deal with him yourself. does the company take no responsibility for its representatives?
if the discount can t be given then i would like a refund of the entire amount paid to reliance including the installation and all the monthly charges plus the extra balance lying.

Have still not forgotten the mobile theft and metro adlabs theatre in mumbai where not a single question raised by me has been attempted to be answered. the impression i was left behind with when the cluster manager called was that this was an organized racket !,

the big tv issue is one of principle and fulfilling promises and not misrepresenting, the second issue is one of theft where i have not just lost an expensive phone but also priceless data for which there is no compensation.

I am customer of Big tv DTH, my card No. is 20 07376979 92. Sir, there is display of low signal at my tv since the night of 6 May 12 and I lodged a complaint about this on 7 May 12. My request/complaint No. is 178768498.

It is my dismay inspite of repeated request no one is come so far to attend the complaint ( about 6.20 PM). Unnecessary out stress gone up that why we choose this service provider for next another year and make yearly payment. After buying the service this is my first complaint and it is not sorted out so far. Whereas the commitment of your recorded that within 48 hrs (although it is too long) complaint will be sorted out.

Kindly look into the matter and solve this at the earliest. My Home address is as under

Dear Sir/Madam,

I have taken Reliance BIG TV HD2 connection in the month of March, 2012 my SMART CARD No.200945426683. When I took the connection your marketing executives offered a PLAN with initial payment of Rs.2,590/- with two months FREE SUBSCRIPTION after that if I recharge for six months subscription I will be charged Rs.190/- per month accordingly I paid the amount and got the connection and two months FREE SUBSCRIPTION also. In the month of May, 2012 I recharged with Rs.1140/- (i.e. Rs.190/- x 6). Yesterday I got a message from your Customer Care saying that I have to recharge before 7th July, 2012 for continuation of the services. Then I enquired at your TOLL FREE No. about this message. They told me that after recharging Rs.1140/- in the month of May, 2012, I have not informed them about the package what I opted at the time of submission of my application. This information I am not aware and also your people never guided me on this. Here I didn’t understand why I have to inform once again about my package as it is already there in the application given by me. This is just simply cheating the public. Because of that I charged more than Rs.450/- per month and they are asking me to recharge once again before the due date. This is just simply cheating the PUBLIC. Secondly your people told that I will get all TELUGU Regional Channels in this package but I am not getting some of the Telugu channels like ABN ANDHRAJYOTHI, TV1, INEWS, Zee NEWS and T News. This is also one type of cheating and fooling public. If I am not given the proper justice I may be forced to go to Consumer Court.

Reliance Company is having Good Reputation world wide but the executives at the ground level for commission are cheating the public to reach their targets.

Kindly do justice about my problem.

Reliance BIG TV and all the people who are working are all fraud cheaters. All the bad words for them which I can't use publicly.

One of their agency lady or their customer service lady called me on 19th July 2012 and asked me to recharge, I said I can't recharge it now as I am using Videocon DTH once that subscription expired I will recharge the Reliance BIG TV. She immediately offered me for the cancellation and told that I will be getting 50% money back which is Rs 700. I agreed. They sent a person right away and he reached my house just after one hour. Took my Setup box and gave me a cancellation slip where only my address and my mobile number was mentioned on that. Neither of their contact number or address was mentioned on that note. When I asked he said we are from Reliance BIG TV and you will get the money after 7-10 days one of our Technician will come to your house and hand over the cheque and take the antenna. I agreed and handed over my setup box to him.

Today is 30th July 2012 and till now no call or nobody came from BIG TV. When I called to that number he didn't receive and suddenly ph switched off. Then I called to the Reliance Customer service and informed the same they said that pathetic Customer service agent that he can't help me and its all my fault that I gave my setup box to that person and disconnected the call. Shame on RELIANCE and their customer service. BOGUS third class cheaper company ever. Then I called to the land line number from where that lady called to me. Someone picked up (A lady). When I asked her she started telling me all stories. That she doesn't have any information and I have to contact to the person who came to my house. When I started shouting that lady also hung up the call. A BIG SHAME TO RELIANCE.

As their company owners are fighting together the company itself is also same. SHAME ON YOU..

DUPED & WORST CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE

It all started with promotional call where my mother was declared as lucky winner for free viewing for 2 month. My parents took the offer, not knowing the trouble it will cause, on 25-05-2012 vide chq no 825458. On 7th June, the technician came to install however unfortunately our T.V was not working because of high voltage problem in our rented house. We told them currently we don't want to install now since we will be moving back to our house in November which is under construction now. No installation done but they insisted to pay Rs. 100/- and assured it will not be activated (they did not even returned back to collect the address proof as promised). On same day and next two day i called customer care to informed not to activate, since the smart id was not activated they told not worry or call the retail outlet. Later I explained same to Ms Rajeswari, Mr. Ravi Shankar and Mr Ramesh (from APPCO Marketing) about the issue which they confirmed to look into.

I got involved in my work and forgot about it until today we received a sms stating free viewing period is over WOW!... Today i called customer care toll free number and had conversation with so called RUDE EXECUTIVE Mr. Nagendra (please listen to the call if it is recorded) WHO DOUBTED MY INTEGRITY THAT I MAY HAVE PULLED OUT INSTALLATION AND FRAMING THIS FOR THE FREE VIEWING PERIOD and denies the customer of giving interaction request no and later rejects to transfer to call to superior because i do not have substantiate reason and language barrier. I disconnected the call and after choosing the language I successfully get connected to supervisor Ms. Sabitha who could not help because of the rigid process and advised to email to you.

Looking forward to address my following concern:

1. Activation should start from November with free viewing period or
2. Cancel and refund the complete amount
3. Feedback and Apology letter for the rude behaviour by your executive

With such tough competition in the market shouldn't you look into the better customer service. Anyone can improve their product and add benefits / features. "ITS THE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE WHICH WILL DIFFERENTIATE YOU FROM OTHERS"

I am writing to you with hope that you will consider my grievances and help me out to get juctice in this matter.

I filed a complaint in Reliance Big Tv for "Error:400" on 18/07/2012, which had been taken care of and resolved and the company charged 175/- for this service. I faced the same problem again on 1/09/2012, so I filed the complaint again and customer care executive told me that this service will be free of cost, as it is under guaranty period of last service they provided. The Service Request No. was 186236113. The service engineer visited and the problem was resolved. On 2/09/2012, I got the message from Reliance Big Tv "your Service Request No. 186236113 is closed. you are charged Rs. 175/-.", while the service was free of cost, so I talked to customer care and they confirmed that the balance was deducted by mistake and it will be back in my account and service will resume soon.This time the Service Request No. was 186378398. This request for wrongly deducted balance was closed without any action on 4/09/2012 morning. I contacted to customer care again, and they again gave me another request no. and promised to resume the services as soon as possible, The Service Request No is 186416665. For next 2 days customer care kept on telling me that the maximum time limit is 48 hours, but they will resolve it within 24 hours (even I had words with senior department too, who promised daily to resolve it within 24 hours), on (7/09/2012) customer care told me that the time limit to resolve the problem is 72 hours, again I waited for next 24 hours. Now despite of the time limit, they promised, is over, I am not getting any satisfactory answer from customer care or their senior department about what is going on and when it is going to resolve or if they're going to fix it.
I am feeling like cheated by the Reliance Big TV. Kindly help me out to get the justice.

Recently i re-installed my connection to No. 15, Ambal Gajalakshmi Nagar, Mangadu, Chennai address.

At the time of Re-installation itself your customer care executive said that no need to pay any money to the service engineer, but the service engineer who re-installed has demanded money to my mother in my home when i am not there, My mother called me and i denied to pay the money for that he shouted and went.. Regarding to that i already raised a oral complaint to customer care,

Then on 1/11/2012 i given a complaint that my signal is lost, for that your customer care executive said that our engineer will contact shortly, regarding to it i called two to your customer care and i got the same answer. My Complaint no.190784526.

I had a hope on Reliance service to the customer, But its unfortunate for me that i didnt get any reply or any communication from your side... Still now my complaints has not been addressed, i.e., No service engineer contacted me till now and i am not informed for my first complaint itself.

For the Last 10 days my dish is not working, i gave the leisure time but i didnt get proper service.

Kindly look into it, will be happy if my complaints addressed.

I am one of your reliance Big TV customer for past 3 years , recently I am facing very bad situation with reliance big TV customer care . I have raised a complaint for Setup box replacement and it is second replacement within 2 months, my complaint number is 212913470, I have raised this complaint on 30th Nov 2013, Still I have not got any replacement box, Last week Thursday (12th Dec 2013) I got a call from technician that he has set-up box ready to install, Since I was in office I asked him to come by evening he told he cannot come by evening, Then I asked him to come on Saturday he agreed for it and when I called him today morning he is coming up with an rude answer that he does not have Setup box and he cannot come.

I am been totally disappointed with the service provided , since I am calling every day to customer care, writing mails to customer care and Nodal Officer but no positive response

I am writing this mail with total frustration.

I have mailed many times but no one is taking it seriously...i am using three connections that are linked in the parent and son scheam ( 200941491126, 200970692236 and 200970692135)... and i am using them from last 2-3 years... but in june i make an request to de-link the connections as i just want to use only two connections.. (after confirming to your customer care executives).. because i was told by reliance executives that once i de-link the connection ..i can make another request to link two connections that i want to use..but as i make an request to de-link the connections the person who de-link my connection change the name of all the connections ( told by your executives) and when i confirm everone on phone telling me that they can't help me in this matter..
now i am forced by you to pay extra amount for recharge when i have already paid for the yearly subscription...
i tried calling reliance many time but no one is able or i guess trained or may be don't know how to hlep me....
i do tried calling mr. Zaki (+91-785910033) but he is not receiving my call..

please tell me where should i go or what should i do..
this is my last mail to you after that i will search for your office and surely will reach there.. and that time i will be asking refund of all the money i paid to reliance and won't use or ask any one to use reliance..
i am waiting for your call.. i don't have much time to read mails..
