Spark Punjabi Comes to Reliance Digital TV

Its going to be Bhangra time on Reliance Digital TV, with the launch of Spark Punjabi on 15th June.

Spark Punjabi, owned by Big CBS, is the first regional channel that will offer CBS's content dubbed in Punjabi. The channel will be available in Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh (PHCHP) regions.

Spark Punjabi will have shows like, Amreeka Di Top Models, Veer Hawaii De, Jerry Di Adalat, Kadi Te Has Bol Ve and Zabardast Kushti Nakabposh Veer that will be aired on channel No. 952 on the Reliance direct-to-home platform.

With a market share of approximately 30 per cent, Spark Punjabi is hoping to grow with the ability to reach 4.5 million Reliance Digital TV subscribers.

Anand Chakravarthy, evp marketing, RBNL, said, "As we equip and prepare for the impending digitisation, we want to ensure the best reach and viewing experience for Spark Punjabi. We are happy to be available on our group company Reliance Digital TV, which will fortify the position of the channel amongst the people of and from the region. We will through the product continue to offer value to both consumers and marketers alike."

While Ashutosh Srivastava, business head, Reliance Digital TV, added, "By adding Spark Punjabi to our bouquet of channels, we now offer the dedicated international content dubbed in Punjabi along with reality shows in the same language for our subscribers from the Punjabi speaking regions of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh thus, providing superior quality entertainment directly in the comfort of their homes."

The channel is currently distributed across PHCHP region on digital and analog formats and claims a reach of 6 million households.

A few days ago, reliance big TV was being revised and in new update they have added some Punjabi channels. And reliance big tv recharge has also been changed now the recharge process can be done by any online portal. So, these two changes which reliance has made for their customers to keep them happy.
